2014 Term 1 Free Apps to Get

  1. General wave properties
    • RayLab (by Kamyar Ghandi) - lens simulation - Tips (1st comment) to set up new simulations for real and virtual images
    • Ripple Tank (free) - simulations of ripple tanks sources (e.g. single source, plane wave)
    • String by Ricardo Varjã - Simulation of waves, superposition on a string or rope with control of various variables.
    • Xperica HD - play the simulation Oscillations (spring and bob). Drag the bob down and release it and watch it oscillate to produce a sinusoidal displacement-time graph. This represents the oscillation (or vibration) of a particle in a wave.
  2. ELectromagnetic SpectrumLight Reference by Yauheni Shauchenk - visual representation of the Electromagnetic Spectrum and speed of light.
  3. Sound

  •  Post below your discoveries of great or fun Free apps for physics :-)
